Foodie Secret: best egg custard tarts


In Soho, the Chinese bakeries are quite good but the best ones come from a Portuguese baker.




Service is perfunctory, it’s often noisy and cramped but the pastel del nata are brilliant. Flaky pastry, wobbly sweet egg custard filling. Yum.

The galao (milky coffee) and coffee in general is good. The crazy cakes are good too especially at Christmas where they do Portguese specialties.
